I'm working on a campaign to boycott Wal-Mart here: http://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/stop-supporting-wal-mart

Please take a look. The only way Wal-Mart is going to change its business practices is if has an economic incentive to do so. We're providing an outlet for people fed up with Wal-Mart to commit to shop elsewhere, and to shop American.

Just as important as stopping Wal-Mart's seemingly imporper conduct is the question of how it is funding campaigns around the country. Wal-Mart spends untold millions on the state and local levels to influence the political debate at all levels of government. There is a general lack of transparency in this regard and people should expose their influence peddling.

The best places I know of in terms of finding out about Wal-Mart's political giving is at www.opensecrets.org and www.followthemoney.org
